two day weekend workshops
INTRODUCTION TO PULSED HOLOGRAPHIC 3D IMAGING
2007 DATES Due to workload we will be offering only two weekend workshops this year. This is November 10th & 11th 2007 Please book early so as to not miss the limited class offering this year. "Introduction to Pulsed Holography" Instructor:
Rob Taylor Tuition: Early registration- $275. if paid & registered before 1 month prior
to course dates. Normal registration- $325. Materials:
Included in tuition. Course
Location: Forth Dimension Holographics, 90
W. Washington St., Nashville, Indiana USA (Studio
is located approximately 45 minutes south of the Indianapolis
International Airport) Class
size: Limit of 8 students per course. Course
Description: Holography is a
photographic technique of recording TRUE three-dimensional images using laser
light. Some well-known artists who have experimented with the medium of
holography include: Helen Chadwick, James Turrell, Salvador Dali, & Richard
Hamilton. This 2 day
workshop will introduce students to the concepts & principles of
holographic 3/D imaging. The basics of holographic theory, history, lasers &
optics, & scientific applications will be discussed. Emphasis will be on
holography as an art medium & commercial applications. Students will have
the unique opportunity of working in a commercial pulsed laser holographic
studio. Students will learn
the basics of transmission & reflection hologram 3/D volumetric recording,
image-planed hologram transfer copying, lighting control, color control,
multi-channeling techniques, processing & finishing methods, & lighting
display techniques. Consideration of starting your own CW or Pulsed lab will be
offered. Class will collectively design, & produce their own display hologram. Each student will receive their own small transmission hologram portrait & a reflection copy hologram of their class hologram project as well as printed course materials & completed course certificate.
our 6th year of offering holography instruction and our workshops remain popular.
Please make note of the following workshop dates:
July 7th & 8th 2007
